Steve is the founder of ADISA which is a UK government recognized accreditation program for IT asset disposal companies. Steve works with the British Standards Institute on the creation of standards for media destruction and in 2012 worked with the UK ICO and wrote much of their guidance on how businesses comply with data protection legislation in this area.
Steve is also the author of the National Computer Centre (NCC)’s guidance notes on how to manage risk when disposing of assets. In 2015, Steve was shortlisted for the Personal Contribution to IT Security Award and ADISA won the award for Education and Training Provider of the Year. ADISA was also shortlisted for the UK Compliance Award in 2018.
